The Lewisville Independent School District prides itself on its long-standing tradition of educational excellence. With more than 18 schools receiving the “Exemplary” rating and 28 schools earning the “Recognized” rating by the Texas Education Agency, families move into LISD because of our commitment to student success. The City of The Colony is extremely proud of the quality of life we offer our community. There are many wonderful parks and activities available to you, ranging from a year round aquatics facility to a spectacular sports complex.
The Colony was named the Sports Illustrated 50th Anniversary Sports Town of Texas in 2005.
