Prosper Texas is the fastest growing community in the state.  By November of 2007, the new 6 mile section of the Dallas North Tollroad will link Prosper and Frisco.  This will result in bringing Dallas 20 minutes closer to Prosper.  Over 4.5 miilion square feet of retail space is planned for Prosper and its current population of 6500 is expected to be 140,000 by 2020.

Born as a stop on the railroad line between Dallas and Sherman in 1914, Prosper was named so because of its prosperous crops and rich soil.
